Race to 11
5.27.2009 | All, Portfolio, Web Design

Having worked for nonprofits, I can say this: raising money is hard. But I also know good design can go a long ways towards making it happen. My friend Drea leaves for the World Race in August, where she’ll travel around the world assisting those in need. The World Race provides a decent webspace, but it’s not really geared towards driving visitors to the donation page. I sat down with Drea and put together a marketing strategy involving a simple website designed just for her that would maximze donor response and present her needs clearly and concisely. This is the result. This was a quick one. From concept to design to coding, this one was up and running in 5 days. Phew! To maximize our time and make sure we could get it going before I left for my own week summer camp with high schoolers, a few elements of the original design were lost, but overall I’m super proud of what we’ve done. It’s a simple site, easy to navigate, with all the important info and a strong call to action. Check it out: raceto11.com.
And if you care as much about non profit causes as I do, please consider donating!
