Having worked for nonprofits, I can say this: raising money is hard. But I also know good design can go a long ways towards making it happen. My friend Drea leaves for the World Race in August, where she’ll travel around the world assisting those in need. The World Race provides a decent webspace, but it’s not really geared towards driving visitors to the donation page. I sat down with Drea and put together a marketing strategy involving a simple website designed just for her that would maximze donor response and present her needs clearly and concisely. I’ve done a couple sites now for counseling practices; it’s refreshing to be able to provide high quality designs at a reasonable cost to an industry that frequently appears outdated on the internet.
